I recently stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, and while the location was super convenient for exploring the town, the overall experience left a bit to be desired. The room I got had some serious issues, especially with the mattress and the bathroom fittings, which made my stay less comfortable than I'd hoped. However, the staff were friendly and eager to help, which made a positive impact on my experience.

My room had a double mattress atop a king-size base, but it was in rough shape. The bathroom needed updating and was missing a mat, making it a bit slippery. Plus, I discovered the mattress on my son's bed was appalling; it was filthy and torn.
