I recently stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, and while the location was super convenient for exploring the town, the overall experience left a bit to be desired. The room I got had some serious issues, especially with the mattress and the bathroom fittings, which made my stay less comfortable than I'd hoped. However, the staff were friendly and eager to help, which made a positive impact on my experience.

Rooms
5.0
My room had a double mattress atop a king-size base, but it was in rough shape. The bathroom needed updating and was missing a mat, making it a bit slippery. Plus, I discovered the mattress on my son's bed was appalling; it was filthy and torn.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and welcoming, but one receptionist seemed a bit overwhelmed handling check-ins, which may have affected response times.
Location
8.0
The location couldn't have been better! It's just a short walk to all the main attractions, bars, and restaurants, right by the river, which was fantastic for sightseeing.
Dining
5.0
I had afternoon tea, and frankly, it was disappointing. The food was sparse, and we had to ask for the Prosecco that came with our deal, which should have been offered without having to ask.
Facilities
5.0
While there were some nice amenities like room service, the overall maintenance of some areas could definitely use an upgrade. The car park fees were manageable, but I found it lacking in accessible options.

My stay at Grosvenor Hotel had its ups and downs. The location was perfect for exploring Stratford-upon-Avon, and the staff showed excellent friendliness. However, my room was unbearably hot, and cleanliness issues made the experience far from ideal. I wish I had a better sleep and more comfortable conditions. Overall, I’m torn about whether I'd return. 😕

Rooms
5.0
The room was excessively hot and extremely small, leading to an uncomfortable stay. I also noticed cleanliness issues such as hair in the bath and dust on surfaces.
Service

The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, which was a bright spot in my stay amidst the discomfort of the room.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk from the town center, making it convenient for exploring the area.
Dining

I found breakfast to be quite lacking with overcooked eggs and not enough staff to manage the high volume of guests, which added to the dissatisfaction.
Facilities
5.0
There were cleanliness issues affecting the facilities, and my room was not well maintained, leading to a generally poor experience.

I had a pleasant experience at the Grosvenor Hotel during my stay. The location was superb for exploring Stratford-upon-Avon, and the character of the building was charming. However, I did encounter some concerns with the room's condition, which felt a bit outdated and could use some refurbishment.

Rooms
6.0
While my room had its quirks, like a dated bathroom and some noise from neighboring rooms, it was fairly comfortable overall. I appreciated the quirky elements, but I imagine others might prefer a more modern touch.
Service
8.0
The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable despite some hiccups.
Location
9.0
The hotel's central location was perfect for easy access to the local theaters and attractions, enhancing my overall stay.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was quite good, though there was a bit of confusion regarding food availability at first. Once the bacon issue was resolved, I enjoyed a satisfying meal.
Facilities
6.0
The parking was a bit tight, and the building's layout meant navigating a few corridors and stairs to reach my room, which could be a hassle for some.

My stay at Grosvenor Hotel was a mixed experience. The location was perfect for exploring Stratford-upon-Avon, but the dining service left much to be desired. Although my room was clean, I found it a bit dated and lacking in certain essentials. While the staff tried their best, management seemed to struggle in handling busy situations effectively.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean and well-equipped, but I found it a bit small and dated. The mattress in my son's bed was unacceptably dirty and ripped, which was concerning.
Service
5.0
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but I had a disheartening experience with management when they made a loud remark about diners expressing dissatisfaction. The service during dinner was also notably slow.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was excellent for accessing the town center, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and theaters without any hassle.
Dining
6.0
The quality of food during dinner was disappointing, especially the curry, which I found inedible. Breakfast was much better, yet the staffing issues led to a chaotic experience.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had a charming aesthetic and offered various facilities, but it was clear that some areas required better maintenance and attention.

I recently stayed at the Grosvenor Hotel and had mixed feelings about my experience. While the location was excellent, close to shops and theaters, the room I was assigned was disappointing. It felt tired and dated, and cleanliness was a concern, which overshadowed the positives. The staff, though friendly, could improve their attention and responsiveness, especially during breakfast service.

Rooms
5.0
My room was basic and dated. It lacked proper cleanliness, making it not pleasant to stay in.
Service
5.0
Some staff were friendly, but overall service quality varied greatly, especially during breakfast when they seemed rushed and inattentive.
Location

The hotel is in a great spot for exploring the town, just a short walk from the river and local attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast choices were limited and disappointing given the cost, which affected my overall experience.
Facilities

Facilities were adequate but could use some updates, as I experienced issues with cleanliness in common areas.
